M31 the Great Andromeda galaxy. This is a single 40 minute exposure on Fujichrome 400F Provia. The photograph was shot at prime focus with a stock Meade LXD75 8" f/4 Schmidt Newtonian. Guiding was done by hand with an Orion 910mm focal length guidescope. http://www.PetesAstrophotography.com
