The Heart of the Summer Milky Way from CSSP

This photograph was taken at Cherry Springs State Park in Potter County, Pennsylvania, in May of 2000 using a Pentax K1000 SLR and Kodak 800 Gold Max film. It was a 15 minute long piggybacked exposure. The dark Pipe Nebula can be seen on the far right and other deep-sky objects such as M8, M24, and M17 are visible up the middle of the photo.
