Here's a five minute exposure of a good chunk of Orion at f/3.2 using Tom Bakowski's 135mm f/3 Canon EF lens and my Canon EOS Digital Rebel SLR. Many nebulae including the Orion Nebula (M42), the Running Man Nebula (NGC 1973-5-7), the Flame Nebula (NGC 2024), and the inner part of Barnard's Loop can be seen in the picture. Even the Horeshead Nebula (B33) can be seen with a little effort.
